Imperfect Plucker by Musical Guest

Back in July, I found a used Fender Vi for sale on Facebook Marketplace. After talking to the woman selling it; I discovered the original owner of this beautiful instrument was her recently-deceased brother, Tyler. She sold it to me on the condition that the instrument be put to good use. I promised her that her late brother’s instrument would continue to make music. I decided that the best way to keep that promise was to make an Ableton Live instrument rack and share it with you fine folks.

I created an Ableton instrument rack called “Imperfect Plucker” made from palm-muted samples of plucked strings on this Fender Vi. The fender Vi is a hybrid between a Bass and a guitar, and it is the secret weapon behind countless songs!
